Society of Automotive Engineers FISAT (SAE) is the second International student organization in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Federal Institute of Science and Technology.
It is a non-profitable group who aims to upthrust individuals to achieve potency in the automotive field.
SAE-FISAT was founded by a group of 7 members and later conjugated by 118 members from the Mechanical Department.
Strive to deliver our community with the latest advancements in the automotive sector.
The student section is affiliated to SAEINDIA, India’s leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member-driven society of mobility practitioners, the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are individuals from the mobility center. SAEINDIA is a strategic alliance partner of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit association and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of the mobility industry.
Creating a fully functional All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) within the campus was the ambition of some of the Mechanical Engineering students, which lead to the discovery of KARMA.
Karma was developed under the supervision of the Go Kart club, consisting of students with a vision to revolutionize the automobile industry.
The main objective of the club is to prepare the mechanical engineering students to participate in events conducted on the national as well as international level.
The club also aims to create a durable platform for aspiring students to learn and achieve first-rate technical skills in the modern world.
TIER 1 EVENTS
The student chapter is merged with various events in college, divisional and main conventional level. The Tier 1 set of events are the ones initiated within the campus and the winners or representatives get opportunities to participate in Tier 2 (Divisional level) and Tier 3 (Main Conventional level) held respectively.
The convention keeps the following objectives:
- Celebration of success of yearlong activities that happen at within the campus.
- Showcasing student abilities in technical, design, fabrication and problem solving.
- Experience sharing and networking.
- Belief in collective and fraternal growth.
- Motivating students to take up automotive science as career.
