INDUCTION PROGRAM 2016 2017 2018

ASME FISAT Chapter organizes induction program for colleges wishing to start an ASME chapter in their respective campuses. The program has received wonderful responses and has led to the establishment of over 11 student chapters in 11 different colleges. The Chapter also conducts this program annually for the first year students to enroll in the club.

On the 21st of August, 2017 a team of 4 student members of the ASME FISAT chapter visited Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Kuttikanam to conduct a workshop on starting an ASME Chapter. The faculty and the students showed great interest in ASME and have moved forward with setting up the chapter.

The program started at around 12:40 am with a quick overview of the chapter’s activities in the past couple of years. The session was conducted by ASME FISAT Chairman Sriram Sankar. The students actively took part in the session and a hundred out of a hundred and twenty students signed up to be a part of the chapter. The program ended with the Deputy General Manager THE HINDU newspaper, Sir N.V Balamurali offering the students an attractive deal for the paper subscription.

On 22th of April 2016, three of our students from S6 Mechanical Engg. Department – Mr. Jithu Paulose, Mr. Sourabh Arayakkate & Mr. Sooraj Jayachandran went to Mangalam Engineering College, Kottayam , on behalf of ASME FISAT Student Chapter in order to conduct an introductory class on ASME. The program was attended by the Staff and Students of Mechanical Engg. Department of Mangalam College. The session included a talk about ASME, its associated membership programmes, and the various benefits of joining ASME. The class was conducted as a part of starting ASME Student Chapter in Mangalam College and expanding the number of ASME Student Chapters in Kerala.
